They call me heartless For the way I write. Say I’m too blunt. Causes such a fright. But they don’t understand Of what I speak. That the words from my lips Is the truth they won’t seek. In happy lies they linger, Saying to the honest, “Quit pointing fingers!” Judgmental they call us, Quoting the Scripture. But in all reality They see none of the big picture. For all they see is here and now. That sin is pleasing And on righteousness they scowl. They love the darkness And detest the light. And for all of this They lose their sight. For God blinds the eyes Of those who hate truth. So that they may not see, Turn, and live. But instead they will die. And this for the truth That they despise.
