My encounter with the Borg Cube several years ago is only now showing to have been an unfortunate one. They picked up my presence as a threat although I made no threatening or unreasonable action and they came after me, I had gone alone...most illogical. I was unable to over-power them as they inserted several small chips into my body. The assimilation is now taking effect...years later. Could it be that the Borg have produced new technology that allows the process of assimilation to take place even when one is away from the collective? Soon, I believe will not be able to resist the Borg. Can it be that resistance really is...futile? None the less, I will continue my post as a Starfleet officer and Chief Medical Officer onboard the Enterprise.. although, the Captain must be informed, sometime. Sooner or later. Fer'at Borg fan?
