“Ok, Mom! That’s enough!” Todd yelled as he escaped his Mom’s embrace. “There goes my little boy!” Said Todd’s Mom, wiping her tears. “He’s off to college.” “Seems like just yesterday, he was outside playing dirt monster in the backyard.” Todd’s Dad hugged his Mom from the side as they stood and watched Todd walk away.


Todd had midnight black hair that draped down over his face and dark, green eyes. He was a carefree, fun-loving, “doof,” as his friends called him. Todd was 19 years old and loved guitar hero. He opened the door to Westchestnut College and began to ascend the stairs.


Todd looked at his piece of paper. “Hmm…137.” He climbed another set of stairs and then approached his room. As he opened the door to his room, he held his breath. Eager to find out who his roommate would be. The door slowly creaked open as Todd peered around the edge of it.


There, laying on the bed sleeping, was an obese teen with ravioli on his face. He was snoring so loudly that someone might think he was a pig from down the hall. Todd looked at the slip of paper again, turning it over. “So THIS is Owen.” He said under his breath.


Todd took a few more steps into the room. “Uhhhh….Owen?” Todd said with a crooked mouth. “Man, I can’t believe I have to live with a pig like this.” Just then, Owen started drooling on his mattress. “Gross!” Said Todd.

Todd wanted to wake Owen up so he would stop drooling and snoring.


He looked around the room for something that would roust Owen. Then, Todd spotted Owen’s bowl of ravioli that was laying on his jolly stomach. Todd set down his bags and binder and walked over to Owen. He picked up the bowl and pulled it away slowly.


Suddenly, Owen awoke and in a panic, and sought for his ravioli. “Hi, I’m Todd.” He said, greeting the blob. Then, Owen looked up and his eyes grew quite large. “YOU FOUND MY RAVIOLI!!!!!!!!!!!” Owen said in elation.

He hopped out of bed. Owen was much, much taller than Todd thought he would be. Owen looked as if he might’ve been six and a half feet tall.
