Personality ~ A wonderfully cold mix of apathy and boldness. He isn't the nicest person to people who aren't friends of his. He generally keeps a cautious eye out for anything that may put him in harms way. As a rule he looks out for number one first. Except when it comes to his squad, friends and captain.
Bio ~ Kio's life was abhorrently bad, he lived in squalor for almost every waking day of his life. He lived on the streets because his mother along with his sibling, died in childbirth. His father was killed in a war. He was a thief, he stole to eat, lived to steal. He was a well accomplished thief, Subtly and finesse were his strong points. One day he was caught though, the lord of the household didn't think twice about running him through when he was caught in possession of a family heirlooms. He watched as his corpse bleed out. A soft voice called to him, a woman dressed in all black held out her hand and beckoned him into another world.
Over the 435 years since his arrival in Soul Society Kio kept up his life of thievery for about 300 years - his talent grew greatly! In 1873 he managed to become a Shinigami, he was invited to the shinigami school, unknowingly by a member of squad 2. By 1900 he achieved a place in squad 2. He transferred out of squad 2 and into squad 7 in 1950 where shortly after he achieved Shikai. In 1970 he became a seated member of Squad 7. Seat 5 of Squad 7 Katsutoshi Kyioshi!

Flash Steps ~ Kyo can use them, not very well, he can keep up with most lieutenants though.
Expert Swordsman ~ Katsutoshi Kiyoshi is an expert when it comes to his own sword style, small blades and dirty tricks.
Master Thief ~ his ability to lift people's pockets is not surpassed by anyone in all Seireitei. With this comes a mastery of stealth, most wont see him until it is too late, or he simply wishes them to know his presence.
Bakudo Expert ~ Unlike most shinigami kido experts who can use a broad range of both Hado and Bakudo, Kyo has little talent for the destructive arts.

Sealed Kuroigoke is a beautifully crafted wakizashi. The scabbard is a beautiful deep red, and the hilt is black. The tsuba is an hourglass shape. It is carried horizontally on Kyioshi's lower back.
Shikai
Hitonomi ~ Bite
In her shikai Kuroigoke takes the form of a rapier. It is as long as a regular katana but thin and strait, the hourglass guard shifts and forms a knuckle guard around Kio's hand. At the end of the hilt there is a white silk tassel.
Shikai Special Abilities
Poison ~ Kuroigoke's poison seeps from the blade itself, it is colourless. The poison has a very faint sweet smell, almost like honey.
The poison its self is not deadly, in fact it can not kill anything, it is a hallucinogenic toxin that affects the brain. It's effects are not immediate, opponents start to lose their mind; they see things, hear things, even taste and feel things! Kuroigoke's poison is a very aggressive dominating poison, it neutralizes all other poisons and the like in the body, it then proceeds to take effect.
Kyioshi has used this on himself once or twice, on him however the poison does not cause him to hallucinate, he enters a state of madness, becoming very erratic, bloodthirsty and losing all inhibitions and focuses on one thing; the completion of what ever goal or task he was set on.
Foe's with more endurance and larger builds usually can shrug this poison off as little more than an annoyance though they are thrown off their game a little bit. With enough poison in their system however they will succumb to it's full effects. There are very few after affects to this poison for those who have been under its influence.
Spider Silk ~ from the tassel there are countless fine threads that trail off, they are very thin and very hard to see unless one is looking for them. They trail off and adhere themselves to the surroundings, this allows for sort of an alarm system for Kyo, if an opponent tries to backstab him he will more than likely be alerted to them.
Another way Kyo uses this silk is just as a spider would do, entangle an opponent to be able to administer a dose of poison.
