I do not understand why a lot of people hate anime for no reason. Several times in my life when im talking with people in a group or just talking with someone. When the subject of Anime is brought up a lot of people will say one of the following.
"Anime is for childish so its stupid"
"Anime is for perverts"
"Anime is retarded"
"Anime is Gay"
etc.... (im not going to list them all)
Then if they said its childish I tell them "Uh no not all of it. Some of it is in the american version made for kids like pokemon, digimon, bo bo bo bo, and yughio, Those are childish because it is for children. Watch something like Hellsing, Licensed by Royalty, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, It is not childi... Usually then they cut me off and interupt me and say " I dont care what you say Its still childish" and then flip me off or whatever and walk away. Actually I have been in a few fights because of this. Its the same with this and all the other ones
If they say its perverted or gay and you try to explain that it is not that they probably saw a hentai they usually will not let you explain and will do the same type of thing as the paragraph before.
Now I dont get why some people say its retarded or stupid when they have not even seen it. They shouldnt judge before they know what it is but they do. Thats the type of people who put up the sites on the web that are anti-anime. Thats the same type of people that I got into fights with because they usually will start cussing at me saying im a ________ what not. and I will say no you are for being ignorant then thats when the fighting starts. -_- Its not like I was trying to cram it down there throats -_-
But people do change. for example my cousin. He used to say its childish and wouldnt listen. Well after a long time trying to convince him it is not I manage to get him to watch cowboy bebop episode 1. Well after that he said he was wrong that it is not childish and now he likes that show. So some people do change.
