What the ******** is some people's problems? I mean, my god. If you're having a bad day, <b>decent</b> people don't go out in the real world and take it out on strangers - don't do it online. There's a difference between a sarcastic funny answer, and just being a b***h.
Funny example:
A user asked what goes on in the mods private forums. Someone posts up and says that they have wild drunken parties every night, and Lanzer brings the booze. See? Slightly amusing.
Not funny example:
A user posts up saying they are new, and wants to learn how to make gold. The first person to respond says "The first thing you need to learn to do is to SHUT UP." Another user makes a post expressing a legimate concern about an offensive username, asking who to report it to, and if anyone would care that she reports it (meaning SHOULD she report it). The first response was a snippy "To the last: no, no one cares."
Jesus Christ. Is that how you talk to people you don't know? NO. I can see if the girl asking how to make gold was being obnoxious getting snippy with her, but she was actually very polite. These people who operate under the pretense of helping others and actually just berate them irk me so much.
There is no need to be rude to people not being rude or particularly irritating to you personally. You know what they say "If you can't say something nice, shut the hell up and get out of Q&A."
