I can't help but to be annoyed at people who can't form their own damned opinions.
There's been many times in a debate or discussion that people have stated that they believe this and that simply because of what they were taught as a child. It has become clear to me that people seem to adopt what their parents or family believes without even questioning it one bit. I can't help to feel sick when parents TEACH kids what to believe in. Religion is something that needs to be found in your heart and along the years people have forgotten that. Teaching kids religion is like telling your kids that the sky is purple. Just because you believe it it doesn't make it an actual fact Religion is based on faith, not facts.
My Sociology Teacher (S.T.) mentioned that people should form their opinion, not just latch onto the ones they grew up with. Familarity isn't always better. People need to realise that their parents are always right. Just because you love them doesn't mean everything about them is sugary sweet.
In my case my parents are racists, even if they would never admit that. It would be stupid of me to latch onto their opinions simply because I care about them.
The same thing goes to the Bible. You need to form your own opinions. Just because the Bible says it doesn't mean you have to believe it in. But at the same time you can interupt the bible in many different ways. What one verse means to you might mean something else to another.
Simple, no?
