Chapter 3
The Dance
I woke up the next morning feeling different that normal. I got up and did the normal morning crap I normally do. After getting out of the shower I went out to the kitchen. And gave Tray his good morning hug. It was the same as the night before only he didn't speak just held me against his sholder. I knew from that moment it was going to be Tray that changed my life for the better. The day went by as normal as it could have been. During Choir Tray and I tried out for a solo for our concert. We got the part! After that we walked home. I got ready for the party. I had my long brown put up and my black and white dress on. My makeup was perfect because this ment alot to me. I walked out to the living room.
"Wow you look beautiful," Tray said.
"Thanks," I said blushing.
Hailey arrived with her boyfriend that was going to drive us to the party. When we got to the party we found Chris. He was sticking to Hailey like glue he would not leave her alone. The person he liked better than me was Hailey and she was hiding behimd Mark the whole time. As the evening went on we had a good time. Except Chris stalked Hailey I thought it was funny. So many songs were playing that i liked and Tray never once asked me to dance I was getting impassent. Finaly my favorite song started to play "All Good Thigs(Come to an End)" by Nelly Furtado. And then Tray stood up and asked me to dance. He could tell it was my favorite song without me telling him. Putting his hand on my hip I knew right there he was natural dancer. We danced to that song as slow as can be and for once in my life i felt purpose to my life. Putting my head I knew this would go smoothly. The song seemed like it took forever to end. When it did I felt different than I have ever felt before. Hailey walked up.
"We are ready to go home, how about you? she said.
"Yes but my parents said you and Mark could come over after the patry they are out for the week." I said happily.
We left to go back to my house. When we got back home we had a party of our own. No drinks or anything just music. And me and Tray danced some more, which made me very happy. After a few hours of dacing we wayched moves we watched "Step Up", which was a good movie. Sitting on the one couch was hailey and Mark cuddled up watching the movie. On the other couch was Tray and I cuddled up in the corner of the couch like always. I could keep my mind on the movie what so ever, all I could think about was Tray. The dancing we had done that evening made my heart soft and light. I had finaly found my point of happiness and the perfect guy friend, Hailey was the perfect friend but, Tray was a great guy friend. Tray knew my mind wasn't concentrated on the movie. Sudenly he looked at me.
"What is wrong," he said cool and concerned.
"Nothing it is nothing," I said shily.
I went back to watching the movie. Soon I was fast asleep, my head on Tray's shoulder. He woke me up soft and gental like.
"Hailey and Mark are leaving now," he said.
"Ok," I said sleepy.
I got up and gave Hailey a hug, and told Mark good-bye. Leaving I went and sat down and the couch and fell fast asleep, cuddled up with Tray.
