Life or death?

I was happy for a few days
Those few days ended
And life was thrown back in my face
I should have known better
Known better then to hope
Known better then to think things could change
My heart no longer leads me
My heart is in a cage
Never to be seen again
I’ll never care about this again
Everyone I know can care all they want
And want me to not give up
But I am
I give up on love
I’m going back
Going back to being a silent child
Going back to just smiling and letting things pass me by
I hope you know
Saving a life is better then killing one
And you’ve killed this life
