Song of Dragoon
Here I stand with soiled hands Battle raged around me Crimson blood fell like rain Darkness seeping into the stone The stone of the dragon
Much blood has been spilt I fought to protect those are dear to me As the sea of war calms, tears fall The sword I used to protect carried the stains of the innocent
I wander the earth alone with a faint breeze behind me Wings ache to soar again in the sky Heart breaks in the freedom of the birds Would I ever be welcome again in the heavens?
My tears would never wash away those who have been hurt by my blade No act of kindness would ever blind me to the sharp memories Blood of the innocents were mingled with that of evil by my sword Blood of the innocent flowed because of my battle
Perhaps there is no forgiveness for a warrior such as I One who tried to protect those whom were dear but could not One who in the end hurt them worse than what the demons could Am I to walk the earth alone never able to wash away the bitter stains?
The battle was fought Blood rained Tears fell But was I able to fight without loss?
I will never know till he returns Till then only my voice will soar My melody will be filled with sorrow It will be a song of a dragoon
