Space junk, laser bombs, ozone holes--Better put up my umbrella!
There is so much bad stuff going on in the world, I decided this journal entry would be about happy things. Well actually, if you don't like the B-52s, you won't think this entry is very happy.... Well, I suppose you don't deserve to be happy if you don't like the B-52s!
I actually got inspired to write this by the line at the top. It's in a song to theirs called "Channel Z". Although I don't like the B-52s for their meaningful lyrics (which is why I like other bands) I think that this song actually isn't a shallow as (Ooh, I need to insult someone here! But no one would know who I was talking about... unless I insulted a celebrity! But then I wouldn't know who I was talking about. *sulks* I know) bittersweetscribe! (I swear, in the morning, you can't get her away from a mirror! All she thinks about is herself! And she's dumb as a door knob too...) I of course don't mean that as an insult to them or anything. In fact, one of the things I like about the B-52s is that fact that they talk about stuff like getting abducted by aliens (Is That You Mo-Dean?), a poodle getting the hots for a great dane (Quiche Lorraine) and most of all having fun (Dance This Mess Around, Downtown, Party Out of Bounds, Strobe Light, Summer of Love, Deadbeat Club, Love Shack, Roam, Good Stuff, Debbie and more). They're like the comfort food of music... actually I'd rather eat them than chocolate. I mean I'd rather listen to them than chocolate... or something like that.... When I'm stressed out (see the first entry) I just crank up the volume on my (really lame computer) speakers and-- ok, rock out might not be the correct terminolagy for this particular band, but you get the point....
My favorite song of theirs is definitly "Hallucinating Pluto" with "Channel Z" coming in second.... That's it! I was thinking of what to call my journal and that's it! It was cleverly named "My Journal" and right now it's called "The World is a Vampire", but now, I know what I'm going to rename it!
My heart's crackin' like a Krakatoa because now I must go, but Don't feel out of place, 'cause there are thausands of others like you.
