I think Christmas is the one time of the year when everyone can pretend that someone in the world is fat and jolly...and, what's better, he's handing out presents!
*giggly preppie voice* like, oh my gawd! do you think he has the new britney spears album? totally? totally! oh em gee! I'm like totally gonna ask him for it when I go to the mall for the fourth time today!
*clears throat* aaanyways, what I'm trying to say is, people spend money they've been saving all year long on gifts that half of the people on the list won't like, and will return to a different store than the one the item was purchased from three months later claiming it was a birthday gift or something like that so they can get more money for it than was actually paid...bunch of scalping bastards, this country.
So, in a nutshell, today's random thought would have to be summed up in this not-so-traditional greeting: "Merry Christmas, and many happy returns!"
