Another poem...

Rain..

I sit in the car
Looking at the lights blur around me
Listening to the tap of the rain lightly on the window
And the sound of driving through the puddles crashing against the tires
I sit listening to the sounds
Wondering if the rain can take me away
Away to another world
Save me from this chaos
The rain trickles down the side of the car
Like its trying to run away
Run away from the world and everything around it
The rain stops me from getting out
Out of the car and into the rain
The rain protects us from pain and our reality
Reality is rain
Rain is reality
The rain comes down much harder now
Hard enough for us to swerve us off the road and into a ditch
Reality is rain
Rain is reality
