So, on 12/4/06 the announcement was released that december of 06's sealed letters would have a THIRD choice to choose from.
I for one am all for the idea and see no reason why other people shouldn't.
-Providing my reasoning for everything i've seen against the new "gift" from the admins.

PROS:

1. More items for us users

2. More chance for an item that WE will like, since everybody seems to have hated BOTH of the last ones.

3.More money for Gaia = More servers = better/faster Gaia

4. Gaia goes to more cons, because some people would like gaia to go to other countries and across the states.

No counter-point required, seeing that I'm on this side.


CONS:

1. Inflation

2. A "scheme" to get our money

3. The abruptness of the announcement

4. Buying all 3 items

5. How the announcement was "deceptive" to gaia's true intentions


Counter-pointing!

Inflation - It's not the admins who are responsible for inflation, it's US. The users that sell them for so much. If you can't buy it for virtual money, send REAL money. The price is static and is the same for every single MC available.

The "scheme" - You're not being forced to buy them, they're not tricking you in any way. An extra item is simply an inscentive to buy more MC's.

The announcement itself - More money for gaia = more servers. Saying "Oh, we're really poor right now so we need you to donate more" doesn't appeal to ANYBODY, that's why noobs are frowned upon, because they constantly BEG. Having more items released give us more of an inscentive to buy more.

Buying ALL 3 items - You don't need to buy ALL of the items. If you can't afford it, buy it with virtual gold. A measly $7.50? Don't children have allowances and adults have jobs? Try to give back to Gaia for providing you with a FREE place to hang out and complain about the admins.

The "deceptive" announcement - That's just how Rina talks, she's happy-go-lucky and excited about everything. Cindy Donovih giving us the announcement? She only does weekly reports and story updates. Businesses don't ask for money directly, most people wouldn't donate as much if that was the only inscentive. It's an easier way to get money, but it could also be a pure, honest gift from the admins to us.
Gifts are not ALL material goods, if you want free stuff, then DESERVE IT. Just because you're here for a long time doesn't mean that you get special benefits.

How pointless
Being BIASED does not help anybody, it just makes you look like an a*****e.
If you want the announcement to be withdrawn, TOO LATE. Anything that withdraws what they already announced would make gaia deceptive. They're sticking to what they said.
Can we stop complaining about this and start talking about the COUNTLESS amounts of new features available to us just in the past week?
