Barren He pulls back, Denies her the one thing, The one gift she’s entitled to. Shivering in excitement, Trembling in fear. He exits her life, Leaving her lying bare. The joy crashing, Flying only to fall To a rocky shore. Eyes filling, spilling over To cause not even a ripple In His ocean. His body cruelly ripped From her own as she falls.
