I put my sword back in its sheath, closed my backpack, buckled the sword around my waist, put on my backpack and finally put my cloak on over everything. Oh yeah I forgot I think I should give you a brief run-down about me I’m 15, my name is Riku=ei=Krysteal, I’m 5'8 , and I have a tremendous gift of courage. My favorite physical traits are my eyes ‘cause they’re dark blue around the edges but get lighter as the color gets towards the pupil and my hair ‘cause it’s light brown with blonde streaks, straight, and goes past my shoulder blades
Okay. So now you know a little bit about me. Well, now that I’m all prepared, I need to get out of here unnoticed. Any suggestions? Ooh I know I walk over to my bed take the sheets and tie them together in a knot so that they form a “rope”. I tie one end to the bed post and throw the rest out the window. Of course my room has to be on the second floor and that’s a normal city house times four up. So I’ve got my “rope” and I jump out the window and start climbing down, but guess what happens. The rope ends halfway freaking down I thought that only happened in books and other types of stories and stuff I guess not considering it’s happening right NOW Ok Riku. Calm down. Don’t panic. I look down to see how far away from the ground I actually was and to see if there was anything I could land in if I jumped. Thank God There’s a tree that I can land in So I let go of my “rope” and start falling. I mentally and physically prepared myself for when I landed in the tree. I hit one branch. Ouch. I hit another branch. Ouch-er. Then I opened my eyes and grabbed onto the next branch and swing myself up onto it so that I’m in a sitting position. I checked where the branches hit me. Not too bad. It’s nothing compared to the mental agony of losing Suzuki. I immediately shut those thoughts down to prevent myself from crying. Now to continue with the plan.
I jumped down out of the tree and put the cloak of my hood over my head. I began to push my way through some bushes and low hanging branches. After about five minutes of walking, I ended up on a street in the city inside the castle walls. As expected, the streets were bustling with people. I began to follow the crowds towards the gates out of the city.
When I got near the main gate, there were three guards standing guard. Two were at the bottom and the third was in a miniature hut on the upper wall above the gates. I could feel my knees shaking. I was hoping to god that the guard wouldn’t recognize me. When I was right next to the guard, I noticed that he seemed bored. But when he let me through, I was so relieved Once I was a good distance away from the gates, I sighed in relief and thanked how lucky I was.
My first stop on my hopeful journey to find Suzuki is outside the castle gates. It’s his favorite tree. Suzuki loved climbing up to the very top and watch the birds fly through the sky and into the sunset. Suzuki used to be so kind-hearted, free spirited, peaceful, thoughtful, and so much more. Then, I don’t know what happened... we were so close... he loved birds and being around me as much as possible... then THAT happened... Let me explain.
I had asked if I could talk privately with him and Suzuki just said, “Whatever. Just make it quick.” I brought him into a room so it was just me and him and asked, “What’s your problem? You’ve been such a jerk lately You’re just not... you.” Then he snapped back, “Why should I have to answer to you? You’re not the boss of me I don’t even know why I talk to you I’m leaving and I don’t ever want to see you again ” Suzuki then started to walk towards the door and the rest you know. Every time I replay this in my head, I try to figure out what I did wrong. When I come up with nothing, once again, it hit me. That couldn’t have been Suzuki He would never act like that to anyone Someone or something must have been possessing him!!
