Okay, so this is my very first post. I basically created this thing so I could b***h about my loser friends and lack of a life. Bah, boredom has made me both crooked and rather insane. So I have about ten friends that I hang around with in school plus two or three other friends that I don't go to school with. Let's break it down into friends and why I don't hang out with then during the summer. Basically why I'm rather miserable:
School friends:
Snuggles - Well, she's lazy and don't like going anywhere without her mother driving her. Yes, I've asked her to go for a swim many a times but her excuse is that she don't have a ride. Lame, since we only live about a twenty minute walk away from it. Also, she has no working concept of the phrase 'hanging out'.
Amanda - Spends her time working on her farm with her father. No, she isn't made to, it's her choice. Yes, very strange.
Jessica - Is a working girl and generally doesn't talk a whole lot. Never mix Jessica and Snuggles ... both girls go crazy.
Jess - Is a loner. Spends time with horse friends and Lindsey.
Lindsey - Is a loner. Spends time with comic books and Jessica.
Boog - Has beaming social life, which doesn't include her school friends. Nearly impossible to reach and lives nearly an two hour or so walk away.
Nicole - A complete dear but can be rather anti-social and works six days of the week. On top of that, she lives about a two hour walk away.
Jenn - My best friend in the world... is also in New Brunswick for seven weeks out of the summer. My only contact with her is by mail.
Ash - Technically a 'school friend' but unfortunetly doesn't hang out with the rest of my 'school friends' a whole lot thus having a completly different social group and hangs out with them during the summer. On top of which, she works.
Out of School Friends:
Matt - Is my gay ex-boyfriend who lives about an three hour walk away and is currently at camp.
Joel - My townie friend... lives about a three hour walk away. Fun to be with if I have a ride to his house, which I generally don't.
So the only few friends of mine that actually understand the concept of just 'hanging out' are either in a different province, or live too far away for me to walk, and no, driving is not an option. My mom can get rather cranky if I tell her I need a ride somewhere. So I've come to a conclusion: I need a job/a liscence/or a new group of friends. I think I'll work on the liscence option for now... I'll leave the job as a last resort.
