..who can constantly remind me over. And over. And over again.
But coming up close behind that is definetly the people that I fancy.
I.E. Chris, my snowboard instructor.
What a lovely boy, not to mention gorgeous, with a lip ring and for once, A NICE BEARD. Oh my God, there's one out there...
But anyway. Most people learn to do winter sports at some time or another, and for me it was no different. I went away from the popular choice of skiing, and chose snowboarding.
I was on the beginner's slope, where Chris first taught me, though at first glances, I never see a major attraction. I did great at a straight run, and on my progress card I got 'Wooooh, girls rock' written on it.
So I came back the next week, to discover I was on the bigger slope. But by now, I did actually fancy him because I always look back. I was in a group of 2 other people. I wasn't the worst, one boy took 5 minutes (Yes, I mean it) to get up each time! I was being called 'Little Ellie' and 'Ellie Babe' because he put an adjective on most people's names. Still it does make me feel special. heart
So he tried to teach us to go downhill, BACKWARDS AND SIDEWAYS. surprised
That is hard, I did grasp it, but it didn't stop me crashing onto the slope, then burning as my face GLOWED RED. redface As I tried to get up feebly, giggling but at the same time being laughed at by Chris because I always have feebly cries out for help before I fall.
He did hold my hand for balance though biggrin .
He also pushed me backwards on purpose, but hey.
We then tried the chair lift. You have to put this poll thingy between your legs and then get pulled uphill. It's easier for skiiers, by the way, so stop laughing you lot. scream I went to early. I fell. I dragged Chris' snowboard with me somehow.
I went again, got it right, got taken up a decent way, but then there was this pole which held the cable up. My pole went through it. My pole rattled violently. I fell of sideways, onto some grass much to the amusement to the skiiers behind me.
I hate skiiers. I walked the rest of the way up, it was easier and faster anyway.
We went down hill once everyone was up (This took 10 minutes for the other boy xd ) as I sat with his mother and watched in amusement as Chris 'laughed his a** off'. I went down the hill perfectly, no falling, and I was disappointed at the bottom when I heard 'And now to go on the lift again!'
My face dropped. Chris said 'Aw, cheer up Little Ellie, it's fun!' while doing some crazy little fairy dance or something. I smiled weakly, and went up again. I survived the evil pole. Dad was going down the hill on his skis shouted 'HI ELLIE!' and turned to wave, my snowboard turned rouns, I fell downhill to join the other boy, where we walked up together, grumbling on how we 'hate the stupid thing, anyway.'
Next time on Unfortunate Events, Ellie embarasses herself in front of a load of posh people and her popular friend. stressed
