That hobby is Japanese Anime, to be specific Mecha Anime, to do with giant robots. ^_^

They are usually referred to as a Genre as "Mecha" or similar terms, but for me I have always enjoyed the series of animes know as Gundam, which started back in 1979 and has continued to today in many forms and storylines.

Branching off into many alternate worlds and timelines, and as well many issues the characters in each put forth as reasons to often be at war or against a opposing faction in thier world.

It fascinates me to see the way it interprets conflict and the ways people cope and make it through thier stories in the different series. biggrin

Often the conflicts in many revolve around wether your a Earth/ Terran ( Living or Fighting for Earth ) or a Space-noid/ Space Station Occupant ( Living in space or on a space bound space station. )
