Holy sh*t I almost forgot to do this week’s entry. I had been reminding myself all day, but I also got into talking with my email friend, so I forgot :sweat. Guess I can’t make this entry as long as I wanted since it’s so close to Gaia’s midnight.
So, this week I was shooed off like a stray cat by the old lady I sometimes work for, which weirded me out so much I didn’t visit her for the rest of the week. It’s been a nice break and allowed me to rest and relax so I could actually start talking to my email friend again (I can’t really do it when I’m tired). The day that I got shooed away, the old lady was telling me that I couldn’t work for her because she couldn’t pay me, which is fair, and we talked for a bit about other things, which was nice. Then she decided she wanted to go home and started closing up. I offered to bring some things in for her because I knew some things were pretty heavy and she’s old (in her eighties or nineties), so I was just trying to be nice. I asked if she was sure several times, but she kept saying no, then another guy showed up to talk to her, and she shooed us both out before going to shut the big side door to the building. As she was closing the door, I pointed at the several things she’d left out, including the heavy thing I had offered to get for her. She said she would get it, and continued rolling down that big side door thingy as if murder gangs were roaming the streets. And I walked away. She behaved very strangely, then it struck me later that she might have thought I would ask her to pay me for bringing one or two things into the building. I have no idea if that’s true or not, but that’d be really f*cking bizarre if I am correct. It would also speak volumes as to what she thinks of me. I hope I’m wrong and she had something else going on instead.
Next thing is that I’m rather amazed at how quickly Trump got to work doing the things he said he would. I don’t like everything he’s doing, but the speed at which he got to work doing the things he said is genuinely a shock to me. I’m not well informed on the topic, but I’d love to know if other presidents have done so much of what they said they’d do within such a short amount of time. I know Obama failed to do a lot of the things he promised to do in the eight f*cking years he was president, but I don’t know his success rate in doing things he said he would, and I don’t know about other presidents. Ooo research project? Could be fun. I’ll think about it.
Next, and last, I have a tooth ache. A bad one. It kept me up until just after dawn this morning, so I only got a few hours of sleep last night/today. I asked my room mate if we’d have enough money left over from his tax return to maybe get the tooth looked at, and he said maybe. You know, if he didn’t have to deal with the healthcare payments (because the government doesn’t want to help us out anymore), we might have the money to make me not be in pain. Or they could have mandated that dental things be covered by insurance, so I could go to a doctor and not be tortured by my own body. That would be nice. Maybe even get some meds to deal with the several infections I have... Then again, if I could get drunk enough and become brave enough, I could probably yank the damn tooth out myself. I can’t drink that much though and I’m not that brave. Plus my roomy refuses to do it for me because he doesn’t want to cause me pain. It’s a nice sentiment, but I’m already in pain.
Anyway, that’s enough for this week. To bed! Fingers crossed that I can get some sleep.
