::Song of the Moment - Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones::
Locked in a three-day fight with my video game Chrono Cross, and the battle seems to not yet be done. Warily I peek from my fortress built on a Walkthrough, sleepless nights, and sheer determination. Still it does not surrender to my repeating attempts to break through it's defenses, still it does not yeild to my efforts in continuing the charge through the plot! And it has a new defense now....
I remeber the day before yesterday, when it tried to usurp my attack with Starky. Now there was a battle to behold! The first round we were beaten, and the charge was set back almost three hours due to my private's carelessness at saving. When will these green soilders learn that it's important to save at every turn, every moment? Still, we resumed the fight after the setback. However, in the begining of this second match I decided to try a new tactic, and pulled out. Imagine my shock, my pure horror at finding my entire army was forced back to the very beginning, all due to a Loading Error.
They didn't have to sound so damn cheerful when they told me.
Still, after a few hours rest I gathered up my men and headed out once more for the battlefield, determined that this time would not loose to the likes of MegaStarky!
And thirteen hours later, I was rewarded victory!
Now came the time to press forward. A long time ago I had challenged the Chrono Cross, and had made it to a point close to the one I was at now. Back then I was weak, pathetic. My game wasn't hardly worth spitting at. I am better now, and I bravely charged on past my previous marker!
Many fights were had, but none that I couldn't best. But yet here we are, at a standstill as the dust settles and the blood cools. My mind screams to press on, but I must wait. The Chrono Cross has a powerful new defense, which I have dubbed the Fatal Scratch, and it has halted all attempts by my army to pass. Twice we tried, and twice we have failed. Now I must wait, wait for the chance to maybe smooth over this Scratch and continue pressing forewards!
