"It may seem that way Madam, but this place isnt mad, but just "Magical" in a sense" as he took her hand with her consent and lead her slowly to the town's Inn, which required them to pass threw several of these places where they seemed to jump from one place to another in an instant.

As they passed threw one of these places he saw her wonder and introduced himself and explained the strange "Portals"

I am Latro, Mayor of this little town, and all of these motioning to the portal they just stepped through and then out of the next further down the street are "The Portals Of Oppidum Magics" or Town Of Magics.

"This town was made and founded by The Great Sage himself long long ago, but he abandoned it, which we have yet to discover why" as they stepped through another "Portal" and ended up across and down the street this time.

Each time they entered and exited the "Portals" they had a small jolt as if stopping or starting like when a wagon takes off or stopped abruptly, Lantro careful supported her back, as they stepped through each one and started and stopped making their way slowly through town.

"So he made these "Portals" to get around town, but why then didnt he do it in such a way to have it in the real world and not in this..."Dimension?" as she grasped for the words ...........to describe this mode of travel.

Lantro almost seemed to be waiting to hear her ask that very question, "Well, as best as we can figure out it was because this area has not one but two "Lay-Lines" which create fluctuations in the magnetic and psychical properties which make traveling normally very difficult here."

They stopped for a moment and Lantro took out a compass from his pocket, "See, what it does to a compass?" as he showed Launde the compass spun faster and faster in its casing, as if it had a small motor driving it, he put the compass up back snugly in his pocket.

"Also watch this" as he took one small step forward he reached down and picked up a pebble and it seemed as if he had to struggle to remove it from the grass and dirt to even just waist level, then he opened his hand.

......................."Wisssssssssssssssssssssss, BOOM!" as the pebble feel extremely fast to the ground and even left a small crater as it propelled from a gun "The natural gravity here is many time what it is normally in the rest of the world the only thing is here, if something is small it will be affect much more to an extreme than say a person or an animal, though it still can be noticed leaving and entering our "Portals" and the water.

As he mentioned the water he pointed to a strange anomaly, "This is our towns water source, "grand fons" grand fountain" as they looked down the street and to the fountain which as it sprayed upwards the water flowing out of the fountains heads, the water stayed airborne in small globs which where held in place by a net placed strategically to the fountain above so it corralled the globs inside. "Amazing isnt it? the gravity and magnetics cause water if un-restrained to float away unless it is say drops or dew sized." he smiled and they stepped through one more "Portal" and in front of a small building "And here we are lunam diversorio" Moonlight Inn" he tipped his hat and lead her in to the desk.
