...is turning out to be AWESOME!
On Saturday, I got to go swimming for the time this year. Always fun. I also scored a copy of Eric Clapton's autobiography! I only had to pay two dollars for it - in hardcover. And then on TMS, Mark Slaughter and Taime Downe were on! I love them!! And of course that insanely difficult throwdown... I could NOT choose between those two. I have both albums on CD and that was just a difficult decision. And it's also really nice to know that KK Downing is happy with Richie Faulkner being in the band. Lord, I love KK. Plus I found out that The Babys are coming to the Largo Cultural Center AND Carl Palmer's ELP Legacy Tour!!! (That's next month I believe)
My Mom made her special homemade macaroni and cheese on Sunday. It's so damn good!
Yesterday, I walked all the way down to the newer Wal-Mart in the area. It was a five mile walk there and back, plus I wandered around the store for a bit. I got a good workout. I made it out of the store with exactly what I was hoping to get: Kix's latest album, Rock Your Face Off. I had seen it there back in December and was cursing myself since that I didn't get it... Was able to get a copy yesterday! They had so many CD's I wanted, though: Styx' Complete Wooden Nickel Recordings (their first four albums), this DVD about the TV show Midnight Special (I'm sure the Cheap Trick performance was probably on there), and just so many other things that I wanted... The only thing that annoyed me was I could not find a Black Star Riders CD. I listened to their album All Hell Breaks Loose last night on Spotify and it rocks!
Today I got a smartphone. I think I have officially assimilated into today's society now. xD
And on Thursday, I'm going to see ZZ Top and Jeff Back at the Tampa Amphitheater. Now I have an awesome phone to take pictures with! We'll bring the camera, too. I'm definitely getting pictures of Jeff. He's one of my favorite guitarists ever!! I'm not gonna be able to sleep tomorrow night. We get to ride over with my dad's friend Mike, too. This'll be a lot of fun. We have better seats than him, though. He's on the lawn and we have actual seats.
And now the big dilemma: what shirt to wear to the concert. xD
I'm thinking my Cheap Trick one because Robin Zander and Billy Gibbons toured together on the Kings of Chaos Tour.
Anyway, that's my week so far. Best week I've had in a long time! (and it's not even half-way over)
