It's come to my attention that I don't have a proper "About Me" anywhere, so for the sake of others I'll do this here and link to it where appropriate.
Let's see where to begin.
My name is Deim.
Some may affectionately refer to me as Shoo, fewer may refer to me as Dahlia, and fewer still may refer to me as Kitty.
I have many names, and you are welcome to come up with something to call me yourself.
I was born July, 22nd 1992.
It was a Wednesday and the time was 3:32pm.
Wednesday's child is full of woe.
I have a half brother and a half sister.
We didn't grow up together, and have never at any point lived together.
We aren't very close and I rarely see either of them.
I was raised essentially as an only child.
I'm 4'10 and haven't grown a bit since age 11.
I've caught s**t most of my life for my height.
People always seem to think I have no idea how short I am. :c
I'm not a huge fan of animals.
I have a mild fear of dogs.
I'm terrified of heights, and have blacked out on roller coasters in the past.
I still love to go to amusement parks.
I can't swim very well.
I've never traveled outside of the country.
Though I have always wanted to visit Europe.
I was born in the southern United States.
My accent isn't that terrible compared to most, and I have little to no southern characteristics.
A little spec of blue in a sea of red.
I am predominantly of German decent.
My brother and I from time to time will speak to each other in German.
I took classes in German in high school and speak it casually to friends.
I would consider myself conversationally fluent.
My favorite movie is Pulp Fiction.
I'm also a fan of 80s-90s era Disney films.
I enjoy psychological thrillers.
I'm not the type of person to use the term friend with every person I speak to.
That being said I have very few people I would consider friends.
Unfortunately, I'm very trusting of people and take everyone at face value, which often times results in me getting hurt.
I had my first job at 14.
I was a breakfast bar attendant for a few months at a hotel.
My second job was at 16 working fast food.
I kept the job up until I moved out of state at 18.
Growing up I wanted to be a lawyer.
In high school I wanted to me a Forensics Technician or a Therapist.
I have no idea what I want to do with my life now.
I graduated college in 2017 with an AAS degree and certification as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.
I'm nationally certified by ASCP.
I love my job, but I want to do more to help people.
I'd like to go back to college and pursue higher education.
I used to spend too much time on the internet or playing games.
I averaged around 18 hours a day online or playing games.
Now I spend most of my time at work.
14 hours a day dedicated to work 7 days a week.
Being and adult isn't fun.
I'm terrified of the dark.
I can't sleep in total darkness, and I need to keep some form of light on at all times.
In my whole life I've had over 20 piercings.
The only ones I still have are a septum piercing, 5/8th plugs, medusa, 00g tongue piercing, and a surface piercing (to flat discs next to my ear)
I'm highly opinionated, and often times a bit stubborn.
I rarely express my feeling unless I am comfortable with the person.
I'm usually content to never speak my mind if it avoids confrontation.
I have a hard time putting my thoughts and feelings into words.
I tend to read way too much into everything someone says to me.
My favorite color has always been green.
My favorite game as a child was Final Fantasy X.
My favorite game now is Fallout New Vegas.
I've never seen the movie Titanic.
I was 20 when I saw my first Star Wars movie.
I enjoy watching movies, but there are very many popular or well-know movies I've never seen.
I'm a firm believer that chicken goes well with anything.
Steak goes pretty well with anything too.
I love orange fruits.
All the orange ones except for oranges.
I often have a hard time talking about myself.
