It started out when I was visiting my little cousins, we were in a coffee shop(It looked like the dream was set in about the 1700's). Their mom took us home, and the house was huge. There were fountains and stone water streams everywhere. That night when everyone went to bed, I started wandering the halls. After basically getting lost in the dark, I found a door. It was massive dark oak with green gems decorating it. Down a set of spiraling stairs, my aunt was waiting. She had my cousins and a man with her. He looked way too young to be her wed, but too old to be another cousin. They led me down the dark corridor, lit by nothing but the green gems lining the walls. They were far ahead of me and I had to lift my skirts and run to keep up. By the time I thought I was close, they were gone. I found myself in a large room, the floor was soft and the bright white marble walls were lit by the green gems. I walked across the room, each step feels like the floor is blooming under my feet. I reach the other end of the room and find a stone that's multicolored: Green, blue, red and purple. I reach for the stone, but as the tips of my fingers reach it it's gone. I hear shifting all around me, gears and metal clinking together. Then, the rush of a water fall.I turn around and the entire room looked different, but I've seen it before. To my left, there was a small hole in the wall. I fit through it perfectly. Down the small walkway, it turns almost into a slide. Then it drops. I fall down a shoot to find myself being stared in the face by giant purple and green rimmed eyes. The strange man backs up, he's tall and lanky, his entire body is lined with the same green stones, but he isn't wearing much. He stares a moment, then points out to where I heard the water running. It wasn't a water fall. The entire building was sinking beneath a river. I back up to the wall and he grabs my sleeve, just hard enough to get my attention. He grabs a flute and points to a series of leavers. Above the leavers there are two stones and in the middle is an empty space where another should be. I feel something heavy in my skirts as the strange man starts playing his flute. The stone I saw earlier is in my pocket, I grab it and hold it up to the wall where the empty space is. The stone sticks and the wall above it cracks. The ground starts shaking and the edge of the stone lip starts to crumble beneath rapids of water. The song that the man is playing is a lullaby. The same song that my mother used to play. The leavers were in the sequence of a giant piano. I started to push hard on each leaver, trying to match the sounds of the flute. I know the song, it was a story, this story. I keep trying, pulling each and every leaver to the sounds of the flute. But it's too late. The stone beneath me begins to crumble. The man disappeared into thin air. I hold onto the leavers as the rapids reach me, but I get swallowed into the water. I wake up near the terrace, soaking wet. Everyone else is soaked too. The building is partially collapsed and there is water running down every inch.
