Day 26, Rebellion

I ran away from that place
Away from the yelling and screaming and fighting
Away from my own misery and loneliness
Hatred and regret filled the halls
A looming oppression filled your heart as you entered

I ran away from that place
Following my own heart and instinct
To find somewhere warm and safe
Somewhere I didn't feel like my life was being sucked out of me
A place I could actually call home

I ran away from that place
And was thrown in jail because I was too young
I was called a delinquent
They say I was just being rebellious
That there was no reason for my actions

I ran away from that place
A place of misery and hopelessness
And thrown into a cage of even deeper hopelessness
I followed my heart
They called me a rebel
