Chapter 3: dreams; our True Siloliquoy
A cool breeze... never has anything made me shudder to my soul and bones so much... The world was dark and silent again. Not a feeling or sound entered my senses other than that breeze... it was cold like my mind so numbing and lonely like a driving heartbeat. And like a sudden shout unexpectantly from the solitude, "Keo!" my eyes shot open sweat beading down my face and my breathing harsh and I looked upward. above me was black and as my sight adjusted again white specks formed on the tarp and a white circle was hanging ominously in it. The sky... A hand shook my shoulder and I turned to it seeing a girl in a white dress her hand small and delicate like her arms and she tilted her head at my expression, "whats wrong?" her voice was as soft as the wind and calming to the ears and mind. all at once her name came up in my head from nowhere, "Katie..." her eyes softened as she brushed her blonde hair from her face. I asked with a tired and weak voice, "was that a dream?" her smile turned to an amused giggle and she said with that same angelic voice, "you're lucky..." her eyes turn to the sky again and she muses on, "I hardly ever have dreams..." I looked around briefly and saw my house a small whisp of smoke rising from it's chimney and a dull glow from it's windows. I turned my face back to her and she smiled warmly, "but what would someone who dreams know about something he feels every night?" I look at her for a moment thinking about what she said and I asked, "whats a dream to you?" Her eyes brightened at my words and she sighed putting her hands to her heart and recited like from a poem, "a conversation with you're soul that has no bounds or altering of the outside world and as you are at peace you speak freely..." I smile at her and say, "you put them so beautifully..." "But?" "What about nightmares?" "They are omens to the troubled mind to stay on you're feet and not let a chance pass by" "so they keep you're eye open?" "for the most part... but you know how the brain works... never totally clear slightly or totally different each time.... sometimes it's to wake you up..." "From what?" She shrugs and smiles putting her hand on my mine her face blushing lightly, "Keo... maybe thats what puts you beyond other guys... that you ask that..." I grip her hand and sit up looking into her eyes, "Katie..." Her gaze softened more, "Keo... I love you..." She leans in and as her soft lips pressed against mine that same call echoed loudly almost deafening breaking the peace and the world became cold again, my heart stopping at it's sound, "Keo!"
