Claire is outside on the porch, looking at the surrounding. I stand next to her and take in the scenary for a minute. On the horizon are a chain of mountains. A lake is also off in the distance. Being in the woods is a good change from the city. Looking to my right I see one tree that stands out. It is covered with blooming white flowers. It looks like something from Japan or China.
Claire-"It's beatiful, but I doubt your here to talk about the scenary, right?"
I make a small smile,"The scenary is great, but you are right."
Claire pauses for a moment, then walks over to the bench on the porch,"So, what's on your mind?"
I sit next to her,"I need advice."
At first, she looks shocked, but the understanding,"About what?"
First I sigh, not wanting to really have this conversation,"You know I'm not one to ask for help or advice...but I'm completely lost..."
Cutting me off she smiles,"You want to ask Ada something, don't you?"
We exchange looks,"How? It must be a woman thing....I want to ask her....to be in a relationship."
I have a hard time saying these words out loud. I'm still amazed that I've come this far to show my intrest in her.
Claire's smile still shows,"I knew you liked her. I have for a while. Your an open book when it comes to her....Well, Ada's quiet. When it comes to women, all they want to hear is that your love is true. Just tell her that you love her. Start by saying you've known her for a long time, and bring up the time when you saved her or something. Just speak threw your heart. I'll leave you with that, because your best time to ask her is now."
She looks to her right, then gets up and goes inside. Well, I guess the advice was better than nothing. Looking to my right I see Ada by the unique tree. It's the perfect place to ask. I'll never get a better chance than now.
