*Today was also an Open House day so i played ambassador and sang for a bit. Tyrus took Kevin, Andrew and myself out for a much needed lunch afterwards then we headed in for the Secret Garden's call time.
*Makeup was hell, but that was expected. It's turning out to be the most irritating part of theater for me. Which is hilarious because it's usually a highlight in my everyday life. Then again stage makeup and people makeup are immensely different. The show itself though was amazing. Just beautiful compared to last night's mess. I believe it's awesomeness can only be rivaled by the adrenaline rush that fueled opening night. I strongly believe that the beauty in the theater revolves around the people in it.
*Tonight Kevin and Tyrus come to mind, Kevin because he acted like a true gentleman should and was nice enough to help me with this giant wooden frame that I have to carry in my portrait scenes. He forcibly kept others out my path as I struggled to fight the crowd in an attempt to return my portrait to it's place. It's hard enough to move when I can't see; even harder to navigate steps and Kevin, bless his heart, really did make things easier on me. I just think its sweet of him and though it's a little thing, I really appreciated it.
*Tyrus, I just absolutely love him. Not only did he take me on a food run earlier, he spent a good half an hour sitting with me after the show ended just to make sure that I got home alright. Honestly I don't think it was necessary. I always say that I'm a big girl and I can take care of myself, and I can. It wasn't that big of a deal. There were other people there, but it's the thought behind it that counts <3
I can't even begin to describe how much those two little actions meant to me tonight. It just made me really happy to know that:
A) Gentlemen do still exist and
B) they're the type of men that I incorporate into my life.
It's nice to know that at least I'm doing something right there :]
