So, I'm not really all alone in Tokyo but I was reminded of this song called Geisha Dreams from when I was a lot younger. Just mere minutes before making this post, I went through all my old journals and deleted all of the posts I had made. 3nodding I should preserve them for comedic value but I think I'm quite ashamed at the childish nature of my posts. sweatdrop Was my life so dull all I could talk about was what I made on my tests and how lame the people in my educational career were? But I suppose thinking about it what am I really going to be writing about here? My lifestyle has improved but I think I might still be immature and not immune to gossip for gossips sake. I know my sleep cycles still haven't improved as it's almost five a.m. and I've got work at eight. Knowing I can come back and take a two hour nap isn't enough! I'm going to be downing the caffeine like crazy at work. I suppose that isn't really any different than normal. sweatdrop Maybe I haven't really changed. I'm still the same droid but with a different output code. wink

But in other news, you as the reader are probably wondering who the hell is this Shimmer the Litheless character? Well, I'll let you know a little bit. I'm a Military Intelligence Analyst with the U.S. Army and I'm currently stationed in Afghanistan. I'm also a University Student. I attend American Military University via online classes. My hobbies consist of blogging, clubbing, and traveling. I've been all over the place after joining the military. My favorite place in the world to travel to so far has been Tokyo. I've been twice. The first visit I went with my Parents in 2010 and the second visit I went alone in 2012. My third visit is already planned in 2013 with my husband. We just have to get to that point. Speaking of my husband, I am married and have been so for about a year now. We're both military and next year we'll begin our first adventure of actually living together while in South Korea so that will be exciting!

As a person, I don't think I'm clearly defined. I am wishy-washy in a lot of aspects and I can never make up my mind fully because I can see great possibilities in every nook and cranny I turn to. It makes for a hard nights sleep as I toss and turn and think about every minute detail of the day that just passed and the times that are to come.

I speak a little Japanese but I'm working on becoming fluent. I like being able to chat to people so on top of my college classes which I do extracurricularly from work, I'm also doing Japanese tutoring sessions.

I hope to make some new friends on Gaia. In my old age of 24, I'm finding it difficult to talk to people I don't know so well because of the cynicism that has grown in my brain. I can't help it! I'm a critic!
