I pressed back as far as I could. The nervous breathing made my stomach
feel empty. I was full of love, but the cowardice made me feel anxious. When
I faced my gaze towards the right, Emit sat grinning like no other.
"Calm down, You can thank me later." As his hand reached to rest on my
left knee. I could feel the reassurance in his grip, but couldn`t find the strength
to believe it.
"I`m afraid of heights," I felt choked as the words left my lips, but still
willing. I tilted my head downward to relax my elbows upon my knees.
I sighed, trying to gather thoughts; how could I clear my mind.
I closed my eyes and listened to every detailed sound of the plain.
It was noisy yet somehow calming. Still, my heart pounded like a guilty man running.
Freedom will come as soon as we jump.
"It`s time to go, Honey." when Emit notified me, I flinched.
"I love you," I whispered before caressing his cheek with a gentle kiss.
As we began to get strapped,time seemed to slow down. Honestly, I felt faint.
As We neared the edge od the plain, and I waited for the ready-set.
One, Two, Thee, my heart counted.
I opened my eyes to the same picture. A familiar darkness came into picture.
Dense and hot, I was sweating profusely. It was not morning yet, and I felt like sobbing.
This time I don`t have the your assurance. Ever so often I am graced with you entering my dreams.
I arched my back and took in a deep breath. I wanted to smell you, touch you, restart the memory, just as It did in my mind.
I gathered energy that I felt I didn`t have just to stand to my feet. Seaching in the nothing,
I switch on the almost blinding light. I grabbed a cigarette and went outside.
As It lit, I watched the ashes appear and disappear
with every inhale. I felt just as lonely as you. Still, that provided me with an almost empty comfort.
As the wind started to brush my skin, I recieved a chill. My cigarette had left me, and I was alone again. I`ll see you next time.
