(Spotlight switches between Guide and the Bully and each of the Victims.)
(Guide stands to the left of the stage while the Bully and Victim stand to the right.)
BULLY:
(Yelling) You’re fat!
GUIDE:
The girl you just called fat,
VICTIM 1:
(Crying) I didn’t try to be like this.
GUIDE:
She has a disorder that prevents weight loss.
BULLY:
(Making a disgusted face) Ew! Who are your parents? Hyenas?
GUIDE:
The girl you just called ugly,
VICTIM 2:
(Hanging her head low and sad) I never wanted to look like this.
GUIDE:
She was in a horrible accident that destroyed her face and took her Father from her.
BULLY:
(Trips a boy on his bus)
GUIDE:
The boy you just tripped,
VICTIM 3:
(Rubs his arm allowing a bruise to just barely show) Why do you like to hurt me?
GUIDE:
He is abused enough at home.
BULLY:
(Gives a man a dirty look and turns his back on him)
GUIDE:
The man you just neglected,
VICTIM 4:
(Whispering to himself) I fought for your freedom.
GUIDE:
He is a Veteran who fought to keep this country you live in safe.
BULLY:
(Kicks a little puppy)
GUIDE:
The puppy you just kicked,
VICTIM 5:
(Whines and runs away to heal his wounds)
GUIDE:
Doesn’t have a voice to tell you that it hurts him and can’t tell you how much he wishes you would just stop hurting him.
BULLY:
Where’d you get those clothes? A homeless guy?
GUIDE:
The boy you just made feel bad because of his clothes,
VICTIM 6:
(Looks down with shame in his eyes)
GUIDE:
Has 4 brothers and his father works day and night just to give them what they need.
BULLY:
(Looks at a girl with a dirty face and makes a disgusted face turning away from her)
GUIDE:
The girl you just ignored,
VICTIM 7:
(Wipes tears off her face) I just want to have a real home, a real family.
GUIDE:
Her parents both died and she ran away from her foster home.
BULLY:
What are you crying for? Does someone miss their mommy? (Makes a pretend crying noise and starts laughing)
GUIDE:
The boy you just mocked for crying,
VICTIM 8:
(Looks up into the sky like he expects it to begin raining any moment) I miss you momma.
GUIDE:
He lost his mother last night to a car crash.
BULLY:
You let your daughter watch what she wants even while your home? Come on, be a man! Change the channel! She’ll live.
GUIDE:
The man you just harassed about watching his own T.V. at home,
VICTIM 9:
(Looks at his friend sadly) No, she might not.
GUIDE:
His little girl has cancer and could die at any moment.
BULLY:
You’re pregnant? That is so gross!
GUIDE:
The girl who just is just starting to show,
VICTIM 10:
(Looks at her belly with tears in her eyes) It wasn’t my fault.
GUIDE:
She was forced and doesn’t think it is fair to take away that babies life before it even gets a chance to be somebody.
BULLY:
Why do you have “Fae” on your arm? That tattoo isn’t even good! It is all blurry!
GUIDE:
The man you just downgraded because of his tattoo,
VICTIM 11:
I got this for her, because I love her.
GUIDE:
Lost his daughter that was only 2 years old to a drunk driver and tattooed her name on his arm as a memory of the life she should have had.
BULLY:
Come on don’t be a sissy! Just have a few drinks! No harm in that right? Your parents won’t ever know.
GUIDE:
The boy you are trying to peer pressure into drinking,
VICTIM 12:
(Runs out of the party crying)
GUIDE:
He lost his father to drinking when was just 5 years old.
BULLY:
Whose necklace is that! It is so ugly!
GUIDE:
The girl that you just criticized her necklace,
VICTIM 13:
(Holds the necklace in her hand and whispers to no one in particular) I miss my best friend.
GUIDE:
Lost her best friend in a blizzard and all she has left is that necklace.
BULLY:
Man, why are you being such a cry baby?
GUIDE:
The boy you just called a cry baby,
VICTIM 14:
(Looking at a picture of a baby) It was all my fault (Drops the picture and puts his face in his hands sobbing)
GUIDE:
Was too late to save his baby sister from drowning.
