There's music somewhere in the distance What is it that they're singing? somehow, it's questioning my existance... My ears have started ringing.
Are they calling for the sleepless? Calling for those lost? Shall I wander to their source? Will they take me for a cost?
Feet that must be mine begin to lope out from the yard blurry eyes and heavy hands make it seem so far. buildings fall to grass and grit and fog builds to the sky fires belge, and lanterns lit eluminate before my eyes.
creatures crawl and dance and run into tall striped tents till there is none I drag my feet, so numb with cold and grab a dirty fold.
peeking from behind the wall i see dances high, on strings. laughing clowns, wild creatures, and strange unworldy things.
suddenly a shove from behind catches me in the dirt. wearing a heavy suit, stained but fine, this man grabbed me by the shirt.
one eye was gone, his face scarred and rough his smile was twisted, but it wasn't enough. He threw my flayling body straight into the commotion that seized at the sight of us like they had awoken from a dream that had lasted a life time. I stood there, trying to speak, but was voicless like a mime.
He laughed; this man. In his heavenly high top hat. "Look at you, the way you express the words you do not have" He belowed his laughter at the crowd of curious and queer folk. they answered tittering and chuckling and once more he spoke: "Welcome, stranger, you've been one of us all along, All these years we've awaited you, Do you remember the Calling Song?
Join us, good friend, good friend the mime. dance with us, as we sing, it is singing time." All at the same moment the folk continued their show i stepped out into the fog and wondered where i would go. beyond the fog was another fog and more fog. how did i get here? to this strange uncanny bog?
Turning back to the gritty tents and creatures, I was lost in this dreams' unlikely features. was this a dream? or was I lost somewhere far away it seems as though I'll be here forever, to stay.
