it's true. you're dumb as posts.
can anyone answer me this:
why does a guy flirt with you, flirt like hell, flirt for weeks on end and hang out with you and invite you to plays and movies and improv rehearsals, dance with you, go to math meets with you and make nerdy jokes... then get scared when you like him?
it makes no sense. this is all that ever happens to me: guy flirts flirts flirts blah blah blah... then we admit we like each other, and the next day he's all "oh, yeah, hey, well, we shouldn't be friends. see you another time maybe. nice knowing you, nice breaking your heart."
what the hell? really, male population?
i look at my relationships, and i see a pattern. these are my relationships:
1. actual bf for four months, but i never actually liked the guy. he was just there. also, we only texted- never saw each other.
2. four weeks of talking to a guy, during which he goes out with one other girl for three days. then he promises to go out with me when the scandal dies down... then says he really can't be in a relationship right now, and goes out with another girl a week later.
3. three weeks of talking to another guy, until he decides we're "just friends" and proceeds to totally ignore me (or, alternately, swear at me when he does respond)
4. five weeks of yet another guy, then "we shouldn't be friends". now that's a little far, if you ask me. less pressure is one thing, but the end of a good and until then long-lasting friendship is quite another.
as my favorite book so eloquently states:
"'boys are dumb!'
'no!'
'it's true! you're dumb as posts.'"
then:
"'kissing is dumb.'
'i thought you said boys were dumb.'
'and who do you think she's kissing, stupid? certainly not the fence posts!'"
music quote. oh... i can't think of anything. i'll post something some other time.
