I watched Carriers last night. I hated the alpha couple so much before they even ran into "guy who looks like my dad" from Law and Order, that I just wanted them to die. The more they mixed stupidity and assholery over time, the more I wish all four of them would just die already before they killed anyone else more likeable. I'm okay with heartlessness and practicality in post apocalyptic characters, because I'm realistic about the things people do in extreme situations, but I'm not okay with stupidity and impracticality when lethally mixed with extreme obnoxiousness. To me, when the alpha female got exposed, the thing to do is not hide it and infect others, but stay behind with the other infected, and see if taking the serum right after exposure works better than waiting until one is symptomatic, but then I also wanted to ask CDC guy two more questions before he drank his kool aid. 1. Did they try using the serum as a prophylaxis? 2. Does early treatment before the disease is symptomatic help? These are key questions, I think. I came to hate all of them individually and as a group. Anyway, I don't think it was a bad movie; I just spent it rooting for the virus.
