Gold sink events always make me groan. But especially more so now. Ever since the powers that be did away with Shallow Sea speed runs... it is just too much hassle for me to earn gold. To the point that I'm not logging in nearly as much as I used to.

I'm still 8k in the hole from an item I bought from the last RIG. I don't have the gold to throw at this event.

Event items should be free. Plain and simple.
