A Touch of History
This will mostly contain history stuff.
* I've said before, and I'll say it again: counter terrorism is a law enforcement job, not a military one. Bringing an army to deal with terrorist cells is like bringing a bulldozer to plant flowers on the verge of one's garden. A spade is cheaper and better suited to the task. The spade is also going to cause a lot less mess and collateral damage.

* After swimming, I chatted with the smoking hot aide who is way to young for me, so I look but don't flirt. He was wearing this glorious cerulean shirt. Yum.

* Today would have been a good day for melons, but I scrounged change for meds instead. I finally got my anti-nausea pills, only a week late.

* 3/4ths of American nuclear plants are leaking radioactive tritium. A nuclear reactor in Nabraska is only not under water thanks to a rubber wall. Two plants still continue working on the San Andreas Fault, and there are still a number way too close to population centers for any sort of safe evacuation to be possible if something goes wrong.

* I wanted to post this thing with Anderson Cooper and Cleve Jones discussing Obama's marriage equality positions yesterday, but it wasn't up yet: http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2011/06/22/kth-obamas-evolving-position-in-spotlight/

* There's been another earthquake off the coast of Japan, but luckily, no tsunami, and the epicenter was far enough out to avoid doing real harm.

* The wild fires are now ravaging twelve states. Stay safe, folks.

* End of the Hollowstone virtual book Tour: http://basswhooper.livejournal.com/149594.html

* A slideshow of unfortunate man hair: http://gofugyourself.com/man-hair-omnibus-the-fug-and-the-furry-ful-06-2011/critics-choice-television-awards-arrivals-2
