I've noticed that nobody really rates on the quality of the art.
They all either rate based on how much they like the subject of the art, or how it looks compared to this one thing they saw that one time that totally blew their mind. It just... doesn't seem very fair to the people that are trying so hard to create something or get a little positive feedback. "OH wow, this is so cool, I can't believe I did this, let me show it to the rest of the world, oh wait, what, I suck, oh well there goes all MY hopes and dreams."
Okay, so it's not that extreme. But it still doesn't seem fair.
