Stessi was holding a knife up to the neck of Janice, it was her scream they had heard. Detectives Locke and Parker had their guns raised and were calmly talking to Stessi, saying things like let her go and you don’t have to do this.
Stessi laughed, raising his free hand he killed Locke and Parker, his fingertips extending through their chests, blood dripping from them. His normal laugh wasn’t present, instead a cackle that chilled the blood and made your head feel like it was going to explode emitted from Stessi. Black leathery wings grew from his back and the sky turned pitch black with red cracks like magma pushing through igneous rock.
Jessu turned to look at Una, her hair now glowing white, her eyes a gentle blue. She turned to Jessu and said, “my son, this is your duty, this is why you have walked this Earth and have become the most feared assassin.”
All of his perceptions were wrong, Stessi wasn’t God, Una was, and he was her son, born of God and virgin. “So, I am your son? Then why do I keep having memories of someone named Aiden Saenger? What role does he play?”
“You are him, and he is you. You had to die and be reborn to become what you are today, the son of God and slayer of Lucifer. But to fulfill your destiny you’ll have to be willing to sacrifice what you love most dearly.”
At that time Jessu turned and looked at Stessi and cried. He would either let the world be destroyed or destroy the woman he loved. He couldn’t do it, he couldn’t kill Janice.
“Let her go Stessi, you’re fight is with me, and you know it!” Jessu yelled.
Stessi laughed, “and why doesn’t the illustrious God come and fight me and save her?”
“You know why Stessi, because we can’t destroy each other, we never have been able to and never will.” said Una.
Right then Jessu lunged at Stessi, catching his shoulder and knocking Janice free. Stessi and Jessu fought, the two locked in battle, however Stessi was losing, he had taking many hits and was near defeat. Running from Jessu, Stessi dived into Janice’s body, possessing her. Cackling, he yelled, “Now the only choice you have to defeat me is to kill her too.”
Jessu just stood there, he couldn’t do it, he couldn’t kill her. Frozen, he cried for a second time. The on looking crowd were all dead, the energy that radiated from their battle had vaporized them, and for Jessu that was already too much innocent death, he couldn’t bring himself to kill her too. Una had been protecting Janice, had been keeping her safe from them and their battle, but why couldn’t she protect her from him?
Jessu summoned his sword and turned it on his creator. Swinging it through Una’s middle. She just smiled and said, “I understand your reasons, but that doesn’t change the fact that he will still kill you if you don’t kill him now. It’s your choice my son, I trust you will make the correct decision.” Then her eyes closed one last time, the blood of God spilt for the first time ever.
Astonished at what he had just done he turned to the possessed Janice and screamed, “look what you’ve made me do, I just killed God, you b*****d, now I’ll kill you!” Forgetting Janice and losing himself in a rage, he flung himself at Stessi, his sword splitting Janice and Stessi in two. At that moment Stessi’s power was unleashed on the world. Earth was now destroyed, nothing but the black and charred husk of a planet remained. Realizing what he had done, Jessu laid himself on his own sword. As he died he shed one last tear, and as the tear fell his soul split in two, the pure and the impure. As his tear hit the now dead Earth it restored life to the planet and the pure took it’s place in heaven as the impure descended into the bowels of the planet.
