I'm enjoying Dead to Me. I have given Conner Detective Lennie Briscoe, from Law and Order's voice. I have given the main character, a younger, slightly softer Joe Pantoliano type voice. This lies somewhere between Ghostbusters, MIB, and a hard boiled police detective novel from the middle of the last century, while still feeling very modern. It is the rare novel in it's genre with a male lead, like Dresden Files or Felix Castor, and is particularly rare in that the main characters are over worked members of a government bureaucracy rather than freelance. I'm enjoying it thouroughly so far. I'll let you know how I feel when it's finished.
