I got my dog when I was 10, on December 14th 2002... but lets start at the beginning, before I even met her.. that same day my mom and I had a Mother and Daughter event at about 1 pm. but both my parents had gone out somewhere (not telling me where just that mom will be back in time for the mother daughter event) at about 12-o'clock I called mom to remind her of the event. she told me she would be home soon. I guess she forgot to hang up her phone because after she said bye I listened a while longer and heard barking in the background. when mom got home. we went to the event . on the way there we passed my dad who was driving the van with our German shepherd some where. (that and the barking in the background before on the phone told me I might get a dog) I didn't get my hopes up, out of fear of being mistaken. Yet that night as we returned I saw excited smiles on my brothers faces. of course the Excitement was infectious! my parents told me to go to my room I was Excited and Scared I was in trouble at the same time! lol I went to my room to find a little kennel sitting on my bed. what did I see inside nothing less then a Wonderful brown puppy! I was so full of joy. I took her sleepy form out of the kennel and put her on my bed. I cuddled up to her and fell asleep. I named her Ruby Amber Rae. A befitting name. Since she is my precious pup. I could have never imagined a more perfect dog. she was 2 months old when I got her so she was born in October.. I don't know when exactly so I made her official birth day October 14th (After all I got her on the 14th of December) I have celebrated her every birthday giving her a different doggy cake each year. I also give her presents like dog bones ect. my mom says she's the most spoiled dog shes ever seen! and I'm proud to say she deserves it shes a down right Wonderful dog! She's now 8 years old and Healthy. she's great with other dogs, children and she thinks cats are the best! she hates baths like most dogs. when she gets excited she's a massive barker. she acts like a mother to our dogs that r younger then her especially our newest member of the Family Zoey a Border Aussie puppy. she's always gentle but firm. She's even Stubborn to a fault but I love that quality about her. every night I thank God for her. She's the light even in the darkest Shadows. Shes every thing and more then I ever asked for. She is my most loyal and best friend!
