* There are hundreds still missing in Christchurch new Zealand in the wake of that Earthquake.
* Obama has ordered the Justice Department to stop defending DOMA. A little late, but much better than nothing. The Law remains in effect, obviously, but it will make it a lot easier to abolish through the court system.
* No, Fox "news," refusing to defend a law, but still endorsing it, does not mean Obama is exactly the same as Mubarak.
* No, FOX "news," Reformed Rabbis are not the same as Islamists. I'm pretty sure that comparison will be offensive to both parties involved. Reformed rabbis are also not secular and there is no reason to think they don't have any faith in the actual religion, whatr with them being Rabbis.
* I completely failed to do any of the things I was meant to do today, but at least there was real sleep.
* Indiana Democratic Senators have fled to prevent Quorum on a law intended to strip collective bargaining rights for unions. Wisconsin democrats are still holding out. In Ohio, their aren't enough democrats to save collective bargaining rights, so I haven't much hope.
* Libya: Mercenaries are still attacking people in the streets.
