"What a joy it is to watch you flow." she whispers looking at the red lines decorating her skin. She switches her gaze from her cut to a picture on her dresser. Her eyes turn down cast.
"You made a promise but couldn't keep it
I apologize for all my sh!t
That I have done
To make it all be gone." her voice wavers as she says the poem, a nightly ritual. Her smile turns dangerous.
"They think they can fix me but it's far to late. There's nothing left to fix."
She stands, there's not even a slight waiver to show just how much of her blood has been lost. she walks to her dresser and puts the small picture frame in her pocket.
"Ring around the roses"
A small white flower lies behind her ear.
"Pocket full of posies."
Bracelets of posies wrap their way up her uncut arm. She exits the room a small device in her hand.
"Ashes ashes."
She continues to sing the old nursery rhyme as she walks down the street, people stop and stare at her bleeding arm but say nothing, up a hill to a small cave that has a sign that read: Our club house GO AWAY.
"We all fall down."
She whispers pushing a button. The city below irrupts into flames not a building is spared as explosion after explosion rock the night. She laughs loudly."See nothing left to save!!! Only you could have saved the nothing that is me but you your self needed saving......Why didn't you come to me? I could have saved you while you saved me?!!!!!!!!" She screams. She enters the club house cave and places the picture down. She sits on a extremely tiny chair and closes her eyes.
"Ring around the....roses
Pocket...full of posies
Ash..Ashes ashes
We...all...fall...down.." she sighs one last time.
Beside the picture is a newspaper article. A teen age boy is smiling in the picture beneath the caption:
"Teenager found beaten and abused Saturday night."
Beside that one is a funeral invitation.
