I was recently mesmerized by this wonderfully woven anime that distracts me so much that I didn't realize where I was pouring my coffee...
Characters: Sebastian Michealis is...everything. He is amazingly capable of doing anything Ciel orders him to. Also with a dash of "coolness"~ Ranking 9th in the "The Character I Want to Be My Groom" survey that a Japanese musicdistributor called Recochoku held. Ciel, not a pleasant happy-go-lucky person. I don't think this matches to go with Sebastian but the servants...Oh dear God, the servants! Utterly amazing! Maylene, the house-maid, Bard, the chef, Finny, the gardener and Tanaka, the house steward adds the touch of comedy in this dark plot. Other characters blend in so well with the story-line that it could easily be the work of a true master.
Plot: I secondly love the plot. It's original, fresh and exciting. The only pity is that the anime lasted for so little a period. And the most exciting manga arcs were ommited. Nevertheless, the plot continues as Ciel Phantomhive (nice name) loses his parents and makes a contract with a demon to serve him until he dies, only then could Sebastian consume his soul. The fact that it's in the Victorian era of Europe adds a dash of elegance. Blood, horror+ black comedy=Delicious touch.
Music: I had slight trouble with liking the the 1st opening theme song, but fell in love with the ending. Kuroshitsuji II wasn't that bad as well. But sadly the music falls in the third position. Doesn't seem to go well with the thing.
