I meditated for the first time in a while just now. I was working on a story for Alex, and I needed some time to take a break and clear my head, so I played some of my favorite Wiccan chants on youtube. I started with the Love Chant, the Three Witches chant, Spirits of Fire, and when I got to The Earth, The Air, The Fire, The Water... I was in another place.

I'd been there before, in dreams several times. Once in a vision-dream with Engel. And then... now.

I was sitting in the middle of a clearing. The grass was lush and healthy green under my bare feet, and I was sitting cross-legged. I was clothed in earthen colors, browns and tans. There were flowers through my hair, and a gentle breeze lifted it off of my shoulders. The meadow grass ruffled, and the scent of the sweet flowers was everywhere... my favorite, but I have no idea what scent it is. And the whole place smelled of damp earth, after a rain, and maybe before one... rain on the air. And overcast skies were overhead. And high above me, all over in front of me, around me... There were trees. Old trees, with dark, damp bark and green, healthy moss. The flowers around the clearing and the scent of rain, and the sight of those beautiful trees and feeling the wind in my hair... It was the most amazing three seconds of clarity I've ever felt. It has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Easily the most beautiful. Absolutely.
Honestly, words can't describe the peace I felt entering that place.
