Just little things.
I think I finally figured out what my next book will be about. I just don't know which planet to put the story on. It could be Venus, Mercury, or Neptune. Neptune needs a good storyline, and if I put it on Neptune then the outer planets' stories will be done, but Venus and Mercury have strange plants due to the tropical temperatures, so I don't know where to put it.

Basic storyline: two girls meet in the hospital. One of them has been sick her whole life because she is allergic to the outside climate as her immunity is next to nothing because of a genetic disease. The other girl (our heroine) has been diagnosed with a disease that could turn deadly if she does not stay in the hospital for many, many months for a long treatment. Both diseases these girls have will be made up by me based on the planet's climate. They become room mates the first day of our heroine's stay at the hospital and forge a deep friendship over many months. The other girl is in a wheelchair due to her first experience outside as a toddler. She was diagnosed as a newborn but her foolish and depressed mother took her outside where she was almost instantly debilitated. Her father keeps her in the hospital where he is a doctor. Due to her low immunity, she gets sick often so she is almost always in bed. Our heroine is also bed-ridden. They talk to eachother across the room. The book will be about their friendship, mostly a long conversation between them about many different subjects.

For example:
I woke up to our dark room all of a sudden.
"Orchid..." I heard from across the way.
"Yes, Jahanara," I whispered back.
"Orchid...did I wake you?" I heard the whisper back.
"No," I lied.
"Good," she sounded pleased. I could hear her breathing raggedly. It sounded like perhaps another infection. I hope it will go away quickly this time. She paused. I smiled in the inky black.
"Orchid..." her breathing quickened in her excitement, "What does a butterfly feel like? When it lands on you..."
I grinned. Oh, Jahanara! Just the thing to keep her awake wondering! But the question also struck me with a slight sadness. It made me wonder if Jahanara will ever truly know. This sadness spurred me to try my best to explain it to her.
"It feels like..." I thought for a moment to really make the answer good. "It feels like an eyelash kiss."
"An eyelash kiss?" she gave a squeaky giggle and then coughed deeply. The sound made me wince.
