Memories of you
Never fade
But everyday

Looking at an old photograph
And I just have to smile
But wishing you were here all the while.

Thinking of you tonight
Wishing I was little

Learning to see past all of this

But for now you’re celebrating the birth
With Him by your side.

The pain isn’t as strong
But every now and then
I go back in time
To the night it all happened
When I fell asleep
I never wanted to wake up.

But He’s given me the strength
To live another day
Walk through the valley
He showed me the way
And He stayed by my side
And He’s with me even now.

I’m living past the regrets
The lies that the enemy speaks
And I’ve got a family to hold on to
For in my room that night we met.

A different story
Mixed with pain and healing
All for His glory
