It's come to my attention that there are several trends amongst teenagers that really make me worry for the future of our society as a whole. Now, while I first noticed these trends on Gaia (which is saying something, really), I've definitely started to see it in my everyday life when I'm at work.

It's become a trend to call themselves bisexual. Now, don't get me wrong, I have nothing wrong with liking both genders. I myself went through a period where I thought that I might have liked women (possibly due to the lack of males liking me), and even to this day, I find females that I see as physically attractive. What I don't get is how, all of a sudden, almost every youth out there is defining themselves as thus.

I bet you that 'bi-curious' would be more of a proper term. Bisexuality is a lifestlye, not a trend, and I want to see it treated normally.

As for another, the rise in teenage mothers/parents/teens having sex.

If you want to have sex at sixteen, and feel that you are ready, then by all means I am not going to stop you. However, when you are fourteen, you are too young, especially if you are dating an older male.

Have they not heard of contraception? Condoms? Birth Control? Oh wait, a lot of these girls actually WANT to have children, and that ******** scares me. These girls haven't even graduated highschool, and they feel that they are at the right age to raise a child. I'm twenty, still trying to find a school, and I KNOW that I am no where near capable of having a child.

If they wind up pregnant and want to keep it, I won't think less, but they should be taking the proper measures to ensure that this doesn't happen. It's far too common. Everyday, I see highschoolers walk into the store wearing unifroms, and carrying their children. It's common for schools here to have nurseries.

There's just something... wrong about that.

I don't know. These children need to focus on healthy fun, no destroying fun, and they need to figure out their future. It makes me sad to see these kids being so... irresponsible.
