zomg etiquette
Seriously, folks. I shouldn't have to say this, but here goes.
1) I'll add you if I bloody well feel like it. You know those magic crews, where there's just great chemistry? You go do a run in Shallow Sea, or Papa Saw, and you managed to fly through the level, because everyone had his or her s**t together? And had the right combination of buffs and strengths? And nobody discussed it for 40 hours ahead of time?
That magic only happens once in a way. You're not going to find it again with those same folk unless you're supremely lucky. Just enjoy the moment for what it is, and stop bugging me to add you. I'm not going to do it. I don't know you from Adam. My friends list is a lot more private than that.
2) Do NOT beg for items. That's so many kinds of tacky. It's also not going to do anything. What makes you think that someone randomly begging me for items on zomg is going to make me give them said items? Um no. There's a Charity forum for a reason. Use it. I had to punt someone from a really good crew because they wouldn't shut up about waning us to buy her an item.
3) STAY TOGETHER in places where the monsters crowd you. That way, the multiple monster rings (like Fire Rain and such) are actually effective. Stop splitting up. Furthermore, in places like Shallow Sea, going haring off on your own will get you killed. Also, punted from the crew.
4) Stuff said on shout is seen by EVERYONE. Freaking stop using it for stupid crap, like telling us that you saw a cool avatar of a ghost omg isn't it so cool. No. No it's not. Shut up and let me play in peace.
5) It's a game, people. If you're getting wound up enough about minor s**t (OMG YOU STARTED THE SAWS AND THAT'S WHY I'M DEAD), you're going to send yourself to an early grave. Chill out. Someone will have defib. If not, hit "wake up". We'll wait up for you. It's not the end of the world. I was about 1 mm away from punting someone for stirring up stupid drama.
If it stops being fun, you're playing for the wrong reasons. Take a break, and come back when it's enjoyable again.
