Kuro had been in the school for a couple years before he noticed her. She, like that idiot Naruto, was in his year. He'd only seen her before, not really noticing her presence, not until she'd actually bumped into him.
Well, to be told, he had been the one moving. He had been heading back to his class when he'd rounded the corner and crashed into her. He'd apologized, and helped her up. Anko had been there just in time to see his face go red. She hadn't let him forget it since.
"You looked like the ugly son of a Tomato and a Strawberry!" she'd say after reminiscing about it and then laugh for a good ten minutes at the memory.
As time went on, he noticed that the girl usually turned up wherever Naruto was. The process was fairly regular. She'd be watching the blond troublemaker, Kuro'd see her, she'd blush and run away. At first Kuro didnt understand, but he started to after about the sixth time. It almost smacked him in the face. Hinata Hyuuga had a crush, and it definitely wasnt him.
Afterward he couldnt talk to Naruto without getting irritated.
Anko and Kuro were eating dinner when it happened. Kuro had barely passed the exam due to not making the seals required, but had excelled in the other areas which allowed him to get by with a horrible grade. Anko knew, and congratulated him, but neither of them were into celebrating. Anko had preparations to do for the next Chunnin exam, and Kuro was irritated at the world in general after seeing Hinata's face fall when Naruto failed his exam.
The knock had come as they were cleaning up. Kuro had gone to answer the door, and had found Iruka-sensei there.
"Um... Good evening sir?" he answered the door, feeling a bit confused.
"I need to talk to Anko." Iruka replied, looking grim.
Anko came up to the door ready to leave. "What happened Iruka?"
"Naruto has stolen the Forbidden Scroll."
Kuro wasnt processing at full speed. Why would Naruto steal a scroll?
"Okay, I get it." Anko said nodding. "Lets go get him."
As they left, Kuro got suspicious. How could Naruto, someone who failed miserably at his tests and exams, get past any guards there should be for a forbidden scroll?
"Meh." Kuro muttered and went back to washing the dishes. How bad could it be?
